The option of 5 user-selectable map combinations that can be programmed and tuned specifically to your wishes so the possible combinations are virtually unlimited. Do you want a tune designed for towing the boat on the weekend, perhaps another tune to suit E85 for when you’re going to the strip, and daily performance tune, or even a valet tune when handing the keys over to someone else?
What else sets the Unichip apart from cheap and nasty ‘tuner chips’? The Unichip is a sophisticated supplemental (interceptor style) computer integrated into your vehicle’s engine management system putting the power of electronic engine control into the tuner’s hands. It’s not just data entered into your vehicle; it’s a fully functional computer working seamlessly with your car’s engine management system, with the maps being custom tuned by the skilled tuners here at East Coast Customs. This style of remapping also means it leaves no footprint because the tuning data is contained in the Unichip computer. No changes are made to the factory computer at all meaning there is no trace of the vehicle having ever been modified. Perfect if you wish to sell it as a standard car.
Another feature of the Unichip is Live Tuning. At East Coast Customs when we install the Unichip we are able to set timing, boost, fuel and hundreds of other parameters and maps on the dyno in a real life scenario. This perfectly replicates the driving conditions as the dyno acts as a rolling road, meaning all sections of the tune including idle, part throttle all the way through to wide open throttle will be precisely tuned to your engine’s specific characteristics and potential.
We promise the customer that the car will be as light as possible on fuel when he drives calmly and it will make as much power as possible when he puts his foot flat on the accelerator. We also promise him that if within three months he feels that it is not worth having the Unichip we will remove it and refund him the full amount, including installation and mapping fee.
