Over many years the team at East Coast Customs has tested and tuned countless combinations of aftermarket products from dozens of manufacturers. Coupled with this was testing of various software and tuning techniques to extract as much as possible from these modifications, the goal of which was to create the perfect storm of performance, reliability and driveability.

This is why our WARRANTY APPROVED performance packages are truly unique scheme in the aftermarket industry. Our many years of modifying and servicing performance vehicles has given us a unique perspective on what combination of products and brands work for a variety of applications – whether that be a ‘sleeper’ daily driver, a tough street car with loads of power and torque on tap, all the way up to a fire-breathing quarter mile hero.

What makes our WARRANTY APPROVED performance packages different is that we custom tune every vehicle that comes through our workshop ensuring the very best can be extracted from each vehicle. This means you can rest assured that you are getting the very best package for your vehicle, with the most comprehensive warranty program in the country backing it up with our 3 year / 90,000 km warranty protection plan.

PHASE 1

Our Phase 1 warranty package includes a CUSTOM tune for your Holden – the key word here being “custom”. Standard performance of the GM LS engines fitted throughout VT – VF V8 models vary greatly from engine to engine and are typically quite fuel rich. This is the case from factory and is due to the simple fact that these are mass produced engines that benefit from wide tolerances to be able to handle various qualities of fuel, in the varying conditions across Australia.

Using top tier specialized software, an East Coast Customs vehicle-specific custom dyno tune allows us to increase your Holden’s power, torque, and provide a more positive throttle response, all whilst dialling in and optimizing all parameters to suit YOUR vehicle and YOUR engine. This is contrary to a generic “one size fits all” type of tune one regularly sees from other tunes that are warranted. Whilst flashing a regular “canned” tune into your vehicles PCM may provide you with some form of measureable gain, it most definitely does not ensure the best possible result for your vehicle in terms of both output and ultimate reliability.

More air = more power. Sound simple doesn’t it? Whilst the exact science and knowledge behind putting this relatively simple concept into effect is substantially more complicated, at East Coast Customs we have gotten it down to a fine art thanks to literally hundreds of man hours spent on the research of different tuning techniques and software suites, and testing different products and brands to discover what works best.

Our Phase 2 package includes the fitment of one of the highest quality, and visually appealing cold air intakes available, to pair with your 100% custom dyno tune results even more of the good stuff. A good deal more power and throttle response, along with a throaty intake noise to really thrill when you put the pedal in. Included in this package are engine bay dress up accessories to ensure your engine bay looks the part if you’re chasing a neat, OEM style finish. Coupled with a washable K&N Filter means that the serviceability of your OTR is covered for many years to come.

The addition of the cat-back exhaust to the previous Phase 2 package results in that elusive V8 note that you’ve been looking for – without ruining the driving experience of the vehicle. Although there are only little gains to be had in regards to power figures when compared to the Phase 2 warranty package, the note at idle will definitely impress, and at wide open throttle your vehicle will literally roar and proudly represent the huge V8 engine that we all know and love.

The difference here at East Coast Customs is that we are agile when it comes to giving you what you want. Whether you are wanting an aggressive note to really make an impression or perhaps you would instead prefer to drive more of a sleeper, we can offer you the right pipes for the job. We also ensure that your car doesn’t have the dreaded Commodore “drone” when driving down the highway – and all whilst being covered by our ECC Warranty.

This is the best of the best when it comes to bolt-on packages with no comprises regarding driving comfort or fuel consumption – making it one of our most popular combinations. In addition to the upgraded OTR intake our Phase 4 warranty package completely upgrades the other side of your engine by fitting and tuning a complete Hurricane performance exhaust system from engine to tip. This package not only looks and sounds the part, but offers a tremendous increase in performance.

Consisting of larger primaries, less dense catalytic converters to minimise flow restriction and complete pipe-work from the cats through to the mufflers and including tips, this system not only looks the part but sounds the way this vehicle should’ve sounded like from factory. The increased flow results in even more power to the wheels, even better throttle response and loads more pulling power throughout the rev range. Unsure about whether to go for tuned length, 4 into 1 extractors or tri-y? Ceramic coated or not? We can supply what you want to achieve what you need, all whilst being covered by our East Coast Customs warranty.

We do everything possible to ensure your valve train not only performs beyond your expectations, but also has the required ancillaries to ensure it is reliable for years to come. Coupled with our own in-house custom camshaft profiles with a grind to suit everyone and supported by our warranty program means you can have a package unlike any other currently available throughout Australia.

This is why we choose to upgrade the standard lifters with a harder tie-bar variant in our Phase 5 warranty package, as the harder billet found in performance camshafts can sometimes pit a standard lifter potentially resulting in an expensive failure. As is the case with the dual valve springs – not only do they suit our grinds, but they also add another layer of insurance against any potential failure. This is why you should trust East Coast Customs – we’re not interested in being the cheapest in town, but rather focus on being the most reliable with the ability to proudly stand behind our work.

We offer three distinct grinds, each with distinctly different characteristics.

Stage 1: This cam is the perfect sleeper grind to fly under the radar, whilst giving you buckets of torque off the line making it a lot of fun to drive on the street. We can even tune it to suit a standard stall converter in automatics, and it will even suit forced induction upgrades if you so choose further down the line. A great choice for a daily driver.

Stage 2: It’s no wonder why this is easily our most popular grind covered under our warranty program. Huge power and torque gains throughout the rev range, a tough idle, and all without ruining the driveability of your vehicle.

Stage 3: Here is where things start to get a bit out of hand! Our Stage 3 grind provides massive power at higher RPM, and has an idle to match. However, if you wish to retain some measure of driveability this may not be the one for you. On the other hand, if you are happy with upgrading things such as diff gears to something shorter and are ok with it being a challenging drive under 3,800RPM – then this extreme grind may be what you have been looking for.

There are few things as exhilarating, as intimidating, or as impressive as a supercharged V8 engine at wide open throttle. The power is one thing, but it’s the torque that really changes the way your vehicle will operate, and which makes supercharging a far superior option for road use when compared to other methods of forced induction. Imagine coming onto boost at 2,000 RPM, racing ahead of traffic and being able to do so without the need to risk your licence by clocking 140kmph before your turbocharger truly comes onto boost?

This is why supercharging is so popular – because it provides usable power. Yes, you’ll gain power well in excess of 100 rwkW, but you don’t need to drive like a maniac in order to capitalise on this power. The three brands we warrant are top of their class, with a model to suit any driver or application.

"I own a holden statesman V8 series II sedan and have been taking it to a genuine holden dealership for its servicing for about 4 years now. Approx. 2 years ago...I picked my car up after a service and they, much to my utter disgust and dissapointment, altered the timing to increase its' so called performance. From the time I drove it out there car yard.....my machine was never the same againg....idling rough, stuttering, choking and was literally running like you were literally driving it over a cattle grid.. To this end, I took the car back on about 5 occasions and they continuously modified / changed the timing...but to no avail...the car was very sick !!
